Wowhead lanza calculador de talentos para WOTLK

Date July 10, 2008

written by Corzo

Ahoq from Nihilum, Interview

By KIDARCTICA

While it took rogue class leader Cloze a full year to get his first legendary Warglaive off the very stingy Illidan, Ahoq only had to kill Sunwell Plateau’s last boss twice to be able to loot his Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury.

– When I heard there would be a legendary bow, I was excited. It is still just a drop, compared to the old vanilla legendaries that you had to farm some insane amounts of reagents to create, but this is the first real hunter legendary – I don’t count Thunderfury, Ahoq says. arco.jpg

With his orange bow, Nihilum’s hunter class leader attracts quite a bit of attention from fans, and he regularly gets requests from people to link them the weapon. Though one of the things he likes best is that he could finally throw out his quiver.

– I really like the bow, mostly because I gained one more bag space. No more arrows! The bow is, of course, the best weapon in-game, but it is not the insane upgrade that most people think. For example, the paper doll dps is just a 15 dps upgrade compared to Black Bow of the Betrayer. The biggest upgrade is that Steady Shot, our major dps shot, is based on weapon damage, and as Thori’dal does not use ammo, its raw damage is of course huge compared to old bows, he explains.

Attunements and Alts

Date February 15, 2008

written by Corzo

Full post

Q u o t e:
I’m curious if the subject of getting attuned to various instances/raids in regards to alts has ever come up in any dev meetings. I can understand the function of attunement in regards to progress/gear checking and in ensuring certain instances still see use.

As someone who enjoys the game (perhaps a bit too much) I have 2 70’s and a couple on their way. I’m really not looking forward to kara keying all of them. This isn’t a huge complaint, more of an annoyance. Has anything been looked at like making attunement/keying be account wide after your 1st or 2nd keying?

Just curious.

The subject of attunement comes up all the time. We’re researching design and technical options for the future when it comes to attunements. For example, we’d love it if once you earned your Karazhan Key or Heroic Keys, your max level alts had access to those areas as well. If we had the ability to do this, we probably would have left Heroic attunement at Revered rather than Honored.

We’re also exploring the concept of guild or raid attunements as well. No promises here. There are many hurdles that need to be overcome before we’d be able to implement these (design and technical limitations).

We’re very interested in doing more dynamic server events to open up content as well. The Sunwell Barriers are a good example of this, or the AQ War (only replace the massive collections with a series of cool, fun daily quests).

I can’t make any promises for Lich King, as we are still undecided. But the topic of attunement comes up all the time here. We want to do a better job and are currently exploring the options.

Love is in the air

Date February 11, 2008

written by Cristina

It’s that time of year again: Love is in the Air in the capital cities of Azeroth. From now until the 15th, that sweet and sinister holiday where you show your affection to your fellow citizens and your faction leaders is upon us. Be sure to visit your local Innkeeper for a supply of perfume, cologne, and Love Tokens, and see if you can finally capture Qwee Q. Peddlefeet this year, or at least get that dress you’ve always wanted.

Be on the lookout for new things as well, such as the Love Rocket and the Romantic Picnic Basket, which World of Raids already sniffed out for us back in November.

Go out, enjoy, and share the season — at least until you find out who’s behind this whole strange mess of amore!

The Sunwell Isle

  • The Sunwell Isle is now available for play. This area includes a new quest hub and 5-player and 25-player instances. Join the Shattered Sun Offensive in shutting down Kael’thas’ nefarious operations. This new force is comprised by both the Aldor and Scryers and is led by the Naaru. Players will take part in claiming Sun’s Reach and setting up a larger base of operation to stop Kael’thas and the Legion.

Combat Log Improvements

  • The combat log has undergone improvements that allow more robust combat filtering including the ability to define custom colors for enemies and friends as well as combat filtering for self and others.

General

  • The combined forces of Shattrath have launched an attack on the Isle of Quel’Danas, to confront Kael’thas and the Legion at the Sunwell and surrounding areas. Players will now be able to gain reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive and participate in a new set of daily quests.
  • A representative of the Keepers of Time has been spotted at the World’s End Tavern in Shattrath. Players in good standing with the faction will be granted ease of passage to the Caverns of Time.
  • Characters will now retain talented spell ranks so when they retalent they do not have to relearn the spells from trainers.
  • Spell Haste: Spell haste now reduces the global cooldown on spells, down to a minimum of 1 second. This change does not apply to melee and ranged abilities.
  • Item Cast Spells: Many spells cast by items were being cast as if the caster were the same level as the item. Most of those will now cast at the player’s level, giving them a reasonable chance to miss, be dispelled, or be resisted.
  • Spirit-Based Mana Regeneration: This system has been adjusted so that as your intellect rises, you will regenerate more mana per point of spirit.
  • Weapon Skill: Points will be gained faster in weapon skills for levels 1 through 59.
